Golfer’s Lifestyle Magazine is thrilled to congratulate its own Mr. Tom Beeler on earning the prestigious PGA Master Professional certification. As the highest educational designation a PGA of America Golf Professional can achieve, this honor places Beeler in an elite class. Out of over 31,000 American golf professionals, Beeler becomes only the 451st to reach this incredible milestone.
“This is one of the greatest achievements of my life,” said Beeler. “It took a lot of work and time, but I’m happy that I’m now a PGA Master Professional. To be among the first 500 to accomplish this designation makes me very proud.”
A member of the PGA of America for nearly 40 years, Beeler is the General Manager and Director of Golf at Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. His journey to PGA Master Professional reflects decades of dedication and excellence. The program is available only to those with at least 10 years of PGA membership and requires advanced certifications through the PGA’s Specialized and Certified Professional Programs.
Beeler’s list of accomplishments is as impressive as his passion for the game. He has twice been named the Tri-State Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year and was honored as the Section’s Golf Professional of the Year in 2019. His achievements on and off the course speak to his enduring commitment to the game he loves.
In addition to his role at Youghiogheny Country Club, Beeler co-hosts the Tom & Tom Golf Podcast with Golfer’s Lifestyle Magazine Publisher, Tom Poljak. The two share a unique camaraderie that shines through their podcast, with Poljak offering a heartfelt tribute to his friend and colleague: “I love Tom Beeler like a brother. I tease him a lot, but nobody is more dedicated to the game of golf than Tom. We are all so proud of him.”
Poljak humorously recalled a moment when Beeler shared news of winning Golf Professional of the Year. “My response was, ‘What happened? Did they run out of people to give it to?’ That was one of the few times I’ve ever seen him speechless. But the truth is, no one in the section is more deserving of that honor.”
