While St. Clair Country Club’s award is well-deserved, I must admit I’m surprised they didn’t secure more accolades. As one of my personal favorite clubs, the dining is indeed remarkable, but it’s the challenging green complexes and fun layout that always excite me about playing this private course.

The Championship Course, designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee in the late 1960s, is ranked 20th in Pennsylvania by Golf Digest. It underwent renovations in 2006 and 2020, preserving its original spirit while enhancing the playing experience. Meanwhile, the Terrace Nine remains a nod to the original Tom Bendelow design from 1916.
