In addition to this prestigious win, Cranberry Highlands also secured runner-up positions in four other categories, showcasing its exceptional quality and strong representation among the region’s top golf courses.
Voted Pennsylvania’s best municipal golf course by Golf Digest in 2009, Cranberry Highlands spans 186 acres of Western Pennsylvania’s rugged natural beauty. This par-70 course was designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels while celebrating the area’s natural landscape. With its combination of strategic design and breathtaking scenery, Cranberry Highlands remains a standout among public courses in the state.
Cranberry Highlands is known for its 90 meticulously sculpted sand bunkers, which add both beauty and challenge to the course. Water hazards, along with over 70 tee areas, create an engaging layout for golfers. The course ranges from 4,769 yards from the front tees to 6,590 yards from the championship tees, offering a dynamic experience for every golfer. Fairways and roughs are outlined with 14 different types of grass, adding to the course’s natural beauty and uniqueness.
Owned and operated by Cranberry Township, Cranberry Highlands offers a variety of top-tier amenities. Golfers can enjoy a full-service pro shop, a grill room, and a comprehensive practice facility, complete with grass and mat tee areas, practice bunkers, and two putting greens. The course’s PGA Head Professional offers private lessons and junior golf clinics, catering to golfers looking to sharpen their skills.
